RAD COMICS: Casanova: Luxuria // Matt Fraction & Gabriel Bá

"As I'm sure none of you have read my work, I decree we'll speak only of The Beatles or eat in silence".   I was flipping through potential purchases at Bergen Street Comics, and it just so happened that these were the first lines I read out of Matt Fraction and Gabriel Bá's 2006 sci-fi secret agent send up, Casanova: Luxuria.   So I bought the damn thing (duh!)

Okay, so that's not an official party name or anything...that's just what I call it.
This week: a song off the new Does It Offend You, Yeah? record, minimal dance music by Light Asylum, the gasping synth punk of Revl9n and even a little 80's punk rock.  Rad!

ALBUM REVIEW: Macdonald Duck Eclair // Kono Tokimeki Imasugu

Combining their love of french pops, kiddie music, fuzzy guitar pop, punk and Atari Teenage Riot, Tokyo based Macdonald Duck Eclair have delivered an amazing album start to finish.  Kono Tokimeki Imasugu, released in May 2011, is their third full length since the band formed in 1998.  While Short Short (2004) and The Genesis Songbook (2005) were both strong records, the thirteen tracks on Kono... are without a doubt their most consistent and original work to date.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't done a whore prom update in awhile.  I'm getting on it, I swear.

But what's really rad is that we have finally finished recording our first song!!!  It's up on our soundcloud page...facebook/myspace ect coming soon too!!

We have been rehearsing a ton and everything is coming along nicely, so expect to see us live sometime by the end of summer.  I can't wait!  The live experience is definitely shaping up to be both rad and totally different from the recorded entity so I hope that you will be able to enjoy both!
